Overall rating. ***** (out of max 5). All expectations over fulfilled.

Cabin:  ***** (out of max five).Good two persons cabin with window and large bathroom. TV in the room (channel 1 – bord camera, ch 2 daily program, ch 3 movie, ch 4 documentary). Boat engines very still virtually no noise.

Landings: ***** (out of max five). We had eight landings on the Antarctic Peninsula and two on the South Shetland Islands. All the landings were excellent prepared and the guides fully considered the weather conditions, the animal protection and the passenger security. We saw ca twenty sorts of different animals. The zodiacs cruises were very safe and we had several one hour zodiac cruises to see the icebergs, animals and the shore from the water. Every day in the morning the program was announced and all the announced times have been kept.

Service: ***** (out of max five). All personnel  very friendly. The cabin very clean. The personnel in the dining room very helpful.

Food: *****(out of max five).  Excellent fresh cooked food and fresh bakery. Complimentary tea, coffee, soups, cookies and fruits.

We were sailing on the M/S Plancius from Oceanwide expeditions. The ship can accomodate 116 passengers. Please be aware that according to the Antarctica treaty only 100 tourists can go onshore at the same time. So if there are 600 passengers on the ship you have to wait until the other 500 are back before you can go onshore. For this reason M/S Plancius is optimal for Antarctica and we had every day 2-3 landings. All the landings were excellent prepared and the guides fully considered the weather conditions, the animal protection and the passenger security. We were very happy with the ship, with the crew and with the trip organization.
