AUSTRALIA TRIP REPORT –
REGINA’S and ANDRE’S TRIP REPORTS
Too old to work, too young to die – let’s travel. My wife Regina and myself decided to visit the most exciting places on this world and since we don’t know how long we long we can afford the long flights we started with the most distant destinations. And after visiting Antarctica in 2015 and New Zealand in 2016 the most distant target from Europe is Australia. So we had in December 2016 – February 2017 a gorgeous trip through Australia.
We spent ca seven weeks there flew ca. 10,000 km and drove ca. 4,000 km within Australia.
We have written this trip report both to describe what we have seen but also to help other people to plan such a trip. Please accompany us on this trip.
We have visited: Regina’s and Andre’s Trip Reports – Sydney, Regina’s and Andre’s Trip Reports – Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Fraser Island, Regina’s and Andre’s Trip Reports – Airlie Beach, Whitsunday , Regina’s and Andre’s Trip Reports – Cairns, Great Barrier Reef, Daintree National Park, Regina’s and Andre’s Trip Reports – Darwin, Kakadu National Park, Nitmiluk National Park, Regina’s and Andre’s Trip Reports – Uluru, King’s Canyon, Regina’s and Andre’s Trip Reports – Melbourne, Grampian National Park, Great Ocean Road, Regina’s and Andre’s Trip Reports – Adelaide, Barossa Valley, Perth, Freemantle, Rotnest Island

The points of interest in Australia are less the cities and the buildings but more the landscape and fauna and flora. There are a few older buildings but very often they kept only the façade and rebuilt the whole building behind it. We liked very much Australia and felt excellent during the whole trip. The Australian are friendly, laid-back people and very helpful.
